Thread update:

I havent even looked at anything electronic since my initial desire to build something new. Unfortunately I slipped quite deep into depression, got referred to hospital last night and they have given me something to help with anxiety and to sleep which has helped allot. hoping to be fighting fit and getting on with my hobby as soon as I feel well enough. Unfortunately depression runs in both sides of the family and I have a history of it from when I was younger, feeling positive today and my boss let me take a few days leave to get back to normal. I even ate something today after loosing 14lbs in 10 days it was about time.

you know what he's right... I am feeling so much better right now.... thats entirely down to the meds to help with anxiety attacks, but I figure after a week or so of feeling normal and actually doing waht I enjoy again and getting back to work next week i wont need them anymore.

I even started learning to play the solo from Another brick in the wall an hour ago, got a champion tone too. Guitar>>comp>>big muff>>matamp with a touch of gain. really nails it, although I prefer my pacifica for playing the lespaul lends itself better to it, I like pups in it allot right now. the bend on the 13fret of the B that goes from C to D to E to F then down to C then back to D again is a killer on the fingers but it rings out true, especially with the comp there to level out the sound.

Does the lady have a sister?

Separate thought.
If the lady has a roommate that can be subverted, get the roommate to take up a few of the lady's favorite clothes, just a little, to make them a bit tighter. It's possible to starve someone to death this way.

life gets better

a couple of years ago I lost my lady too. lost weight too coz of it too. around 30 lbs. Ill tell you I became a better person because of it. Also got better at building pedals. And thats what's important! hehe. I still miss her bad sometimes but I dont feel like i have any regrets, meaning if i was to travel back in time i dont think id change a thing.

anyway, Try revisiting your favorite builds. If you want a nut buster that you wont stop thinking about, try building an original. Then post schematics and pics hehe.

funny thing happened earlier, she e-mailed me asking how I am. I say I am fine thanks I am going to not contact you for a while.......to get my head straight etc

so she calls me its like she was happy knowing I was still there and no I am gone she doesnt feel so safe sat in her new place with this new wonder guy as John isnt there to talk to about everyting. I think chaps its called having your cake and eating it. Well sorry girl you cant do that, you cant have the closeness of conversations like a relationship when you go lay in another mans bed.

Its quite funny looking at it in a twisted way. I realised tonight she is very much more messed up than me and went back with him as she was still hurting form what he did to her so she went back to take the pain away but wanted to know I was still there as a fall back and now I made it clear I am not. She now feels so incredibly guilty over what she did to me. sorry you got to live with that.

I think a good nights sleep thanks to some diazipan and some other magic pill thats helping me with anxiety attacks has really helped me clear my head and see the real picture.

Oh and RG you are a funny funny man!!

(ps look for a different type of lady when you decide to look again. I fell into that trap. I just went to another lady that was just the same type of lady as the first one).

You have my sympathies. I know exactly what you're talking about, having gone through a similar situation some twenty-four years ago. I chucked my band, my lifestyle, the music I had been listening to and my taste in women. There were never truer words sung than "rock'n'roll sure helped me through"! I stopped trolling bars for women and... shall we say... targeted my marketing? I met a good dozen in four months doing this. The woman I met later and eventually married was not part of this "marketing program", but the expanded "qualifications list" I had by then gave me options I had never considered before.

By the way, Sir Hammer, how is Tom these days? He seems to have been rather quiet...

Papa, good on you--sounds like you have things pretty much in hand, approach-wise. Sometimes you have to burn a bridge to get control over your own life. Good as they have been to you, don't get too comfy with your new pharmaceutical friends, though--they'll turn on you faster than a woman.

hey, i give you credit for being able bringing us all into your life to help you through this and, being so open and honest about it. i know i don't have the guts (or smarts) to reach out and, open myself to those around me (or not so around me in this case) for help. i like to keep all that inside where it can eat at me and, mess everything up. just remember your pedals won't hassle you about taking out the trash. rylan
