a while back i was playing around with the harmonic perkulator after some "tuning" i was able to get some nice "%^&*ed wah" sounds with the gain rolled down. noticing the the bosstone is of a similar design i wanted to see what i could do with it. i don't know the math of it but, again with the gain rolled down i am able to get a relatively decent wah sound. here is my schematic http://www.aronnelson.com/gallery/main.php/v/foxfire/SCHEMATICS_001/MODDED+BOSSTONE+SCHEMATIC.png.html?g2_imageViewsIndex=1. my guess is that R2/C2/R4 is making some sort of "T" filter but, like i said i'm not sure? i noticed that the higher i went with C2 the less wah effect i'd get which makes sense to me. anyway figured i share what i'd found. i didn't spend too much time on it so if you like the idea of being able to get some extra sounds out of a fuzz have at it. rylan

Yeah, one of a few of the cool things about that circuit for sure!
Try it with the attack/fuzz turned down and the guitar's volume rolled back.
With a strat it really quacks.

The cap dumps AC feedback to ground, raising the gain for freq's above the RC cutoff for the components in the feedback loop.  Make C smaller and less bass is boosted.  Some of Tim Escobedo's circuits have the same feature.  But yeah these circuits are fun.  Lots of possibilities for simple mods. :)
