Cast your eyes over this and you might learn something different :icon_biggrin:

There is a lot of pre release discussion before the link to the article

Yow! Many thanks for pointing that out.  I'll make one of those for sure, been interested in percussion synth since a friend became obsessed with Synares.  At some point it'd be really fun to make some sort of pads out of odd shaped flat rubber and Kynar film.

When the Canadian Radio Shack (The Source) recently dumped all their pots at bargain prices, I scooped up what I could locally.  Given that they were basically "only" 10k, 100k, and 1M values, and that the MPS pretty much uses ONLY those values, I'm kind of glad I went a little overboard. :icon_biggrin:

Hi Mark, the piece that got me thinking concerns the use of pin 11 for a current controlled input on the 4046 used with the usual VC pin 9 tied to 15v, and the effect - probably useful, on BBD based stuff. Could this throw open a new range of experimentation?

I had a couple of Thomas Henry's original drum modules - the actual prototypes as it happens from when he was having a clearout - and the only problem with them (from my point of view) was that they sounded too much like real drums. A weird complaint - they would have been perfect for someone who actually wanted a tweakable drum sound!
I don't know how this new super module will go. But, in any case, I expect that like all analog circuitry it will be ripe for modding  :icon_twisted:
Certainly, everything Thomas Henry ever did worked 100%, so have no fear if you are going to build this.

Funny that, I use a Roland R5 and the sounds are real drums, but you can put a human feel, so I have an electronic Dave Mattacks!
