It's cool to see the progression/evolution of your work, AC.  I'm gonna speculate on the red/black swirl-in-swirl one: did you just drop a big blob of a solid color on there, and carefully drag the contrasting color into it?  At first I thought it was some sort of second-coat stencil thing, but then I looked closer and couldn't see any lines indicating a second coat.

The one thing about working with acrylic paint is that all the colors / design have to be done while the paint is wet. Applying wet acrylic over dry (at least when I've tried it) just seems to create a gooey blob that pulls up the original color.

All very nicely done.  I would feel bad drilling one and putting controls and jacks on.  Let alone stepping on one!  Like having an original Pollack as a doormat or something.   :D

It's funny you mention that, as I always have a big internal debate on the placement of pots, switches, etc. I don't want them to interfere with the flow of the paint.

I'm a dork I guess....
