Any idea on the gains of the transistors in the Fulltone '70? I played one at a music shop and from my ears it sounded like they would be pretty high gain.

I'm building a fuzz for someone and want it to sound close to the Fulltone. The BC109s and BC108s I have from small bear are all in the 300-400 range. Is this normal for these transistors? Does Fulltone use gains this high?

I gave up to use the BC108 in FF´s for this same reason, very high hfe.
Pagan and happy!

piggyback 'em

Dragonfly - does piggybacking lessen the hfe?

What about BC107s?

No problem.

The trimmer helps you really "dial in" the hfe for the best sound.
