Hello wondering if the Danelectro plastic pedals will run on 12V???

     I have been building a modular synth for awhile and I have a few more spaces and I thought it'd be cool to have a delay and a phasor in there so I've already modded a few slapback echoes to be full on echoes.  SO I thought about making a panel for one and putting it my system.  So will it run on 12v+ (thats what the power supply is running at.  And I thought about putting in a pepperoni also, since that's their phase.

It will depend on the circuit in question.  If it's the sort of circuit that uses a bias of some sort other than V+/2, then it likely will not run properly on 12V, unless you make an effort to re-bias properly.  Some of the Dano pedals will include a 5V regulator, in which case feeding them 9v vs 12v will make little difference.

But in general, you'd need to know a little more about each pedal to determine if 12v could be used without modification.

hmm I think the the slapback uses a 5v reg most of the delays do right??  I'll have to search for a schem but I'm sure that will prove difficult.

You could drop the 12v down to a 9v supply for the dano's with a few power diodes in series, and then you'd be done with it.  Or a series 3v zener diode (rated for enough current), cathode to the +12.

Just want to say I alligator clipped the slapback last night with no probles so I have to do the mods and a few other things and it good to go.. I think I won't have enough room for the phaser anyway.  I might make another post wontering if there is a way to plug and LFO into the slapback to modulate it like alot of people do with the rebote.

Often a 9volt AC adapter will measure at ~11V under "no load" conditions.  I was under the assumption that it drops a little in the pedal.  Would this not be the case with the power supply in question?

This is a bipolar supply that runs at a constent 12 volts.  Pretty accurately
