Using a DPDT in a wah for inductors=volume/wah pedal?

Today I was digging around my crybaby wah, and I decided to hook up my fasel red inductor and my stock inductor onto a DPDT switch.  Is that possible?  I don't know, but when I switched between the two, one setting on the DPDT switch gave me the normal wah effect, and one gave me a volume swell effect.  Any idea why?

Maybe the wire length to the switch changed the inductance of the other coil, thereby putting the resonant frequency out of range of the pot?  Or the switch isn't wired correctly....
If the inductance was thrown out, I'd expect to get that volume change without wah...the Q may have gone way flat.  Check the switch wiring and keep leads REALLY short!  ;o)

Thanks for the reply.
Maybe I'll experiment with this and see what I can get.  Would it be ok to leave it as is, and use it as a volume pedal and wah pedal when needed?

I don't see why not, as long as the 'wah' is to your liking...I'm assuming you'll take out the other inductor for use somewhere else?

Maybe your 2nd switch position is only shorting out the other inductor, look into that...usually it's the simple things that get you!  ;o)
