I have been trying to get a link to this file for a few months now.  :icon_eek:

Either no one has it saved OR no one want to share it.

If someone comes out of the woodwork then let me know.  ;D

I wonder how long this thread will be kept alive before someone provides the requested info  ???

I am thinking that it will be quite a long time  8)

EDIT: Quite a LONG time before someone produces the info.. that is  ;)

How long before someone who's cares does a layout themselves?

About as long as it takes for people to stop jumping into threads they have no interest in just to leave snide comments that do not help or improve the situation at all.

That is just a guess though...  :-X

No worries  ;)  I guess the bad days were going around. It landed here too!

I always deem it a breach of etiquette to contact someone in a form other than PM or via a thread post.

I was hoping that SOMEONE had saved it somewhere. If there is no reply soon then I may try to contact  ;D

Just email him. I've written to him and gotten a reply about boards I've ordered from him.

Back in 2010 I saw this project and e-mailed Mathieu (bleubleu) for info about the boards.

He e-mailed me the images for printing a board and some pics of the finished result.

I never got around to making it back in 2010. Three years later, it occurred to me, I still want a nice GT2, and it seems there have been other people here wanting one too.

The only thing that was missing was a layout of where the parts go on the board. Bleubleu had done only a partial illustration showing in red pen where a few jumpers and components went. So I made a full layout mockup with Photoshop by rearranging the pieces from the original Tonepad drawings.

All of the images are available here:
Printable GT2 PCB (Scaled down 3% from the original bleubleu sent me so the scale and switch footprints measure correctly.)
Bleubleu's partially labelled GT2 layout
Fully labelled GT2 Layout
Tonepad GT2 layout (for layout comparison/verification purposes)
bleubleu's GT2

The parts list is the same as the Tonepad, itemized here:
http://www.tonepad.com/getFile.asp?id=112

The only unique parts are the pots and switches:
http://www.smallbearelec.com/servlet/Detail?no=710 (4x, 100k linear)
http://www.smallbearelec.com/servlet/Detail?no=495 (3x)

So does anyone else still want an easy-to-make GT2? :)

I could certainly use a nicely printed board ... Anyone want to send me one? ;D

I think this is a totally awesome project but since I discovered that you can get a Behringer GDI21 for about $30 brand new I would have a real hard time justifying building it... Probably end up costing you more to build it as a matter of fact not to mention the time you would spend! The Behringer GDI21 is a clone of the GT2 by the way and sounds identical... the GDI21 has an xlr out with ground lift also. Also the V-TONE GM108 is a GT2 with a 15 watt power amp and cheap as dirt also!  :icon_wink:
Doesn't matter what you did to get it... If it sounds good, then it is good!

I've been aware of the GDI for a long time, but I like building my own stuff because it allows me to make it the way I like - opamp socket/swapping, through-mount parts rather than SMD, capacitor choices, true bypass, 18v, etc.

It's true though, the price on the GDI is very low! But I know if I bought one, I would feel compelled to try and mod it. Easier to build from scratch. :)

J0K3RX

You have a point... I wasn't trying to discourage anyone from building this.. Certainly a cool project! :icon_wink:

I've been thinking about making one. I have a few other projects ahead of it, but I could probably make a few boards if you need one.

Thanks Mustachio! I would definitely appreciate a board.
