I am finding that i am spending a ton on shipping simply due to the fact that i am ordering parts per pedal....
I want to stock up on more common parts used in building. what would the more pedal addicts recommend on resistors, caps, and trannies to buy more than  just a few of....

please give me some help on this

thanks scott ;D
put it together, now take it apart

I started out with some assortments such as these:

Not bad considering everything comes sorted by value. After a while you'll get a feel for what values you use the most and stock up on those.

I usually think up my next 5 builds or so and order all of the parts at once.  Smaller, cheaper parts common to many builds (caps, resistors, diodes) I buy double of.  Before you know it you've got a pretty good stash.

The French connection

I know, but the pedal i built does not boost...it just increases volume!

Futurlec has a bunch of dirt cheap value packs for resistors, caps, etc., check it out:

I discovered this over at freestompboxes.org, what a godsend.

Being in a similar situation as you I have found sites like http://www.goldmine-elec.com/, http://www.futurlec.com/index.shtml, and like it was pointed out above the China stuff from Ebay to be good for stocking up. For common transistors (and lots of other stuff) http://www.effectsconnection.com/ has ones like 2N3904 in packs of 100 for cheap and they are alot faster then waiting for them from China.
