Hey Guys,

I am thinking about trying to build a quiet(around the russian green or civil war quiet ness, even quieter if we can) , mid scooped rams head muff that i very clear and dynamic.
I have been using the GGG boards.
What would you suggest I do to get this kind of sound?

I know the BYOC rams head set at flat is kind of the tone but not refined....
I'm sure the beginning half of this explains it.

Thanks All

Matt

sounds like a green big muff I built based on the GGG board. I used ALL film caps, metal film resistors, and 5089's and it is dead silent. The distortion is also kind of mellow, you can crank the sustain knob and it's still not that out of control sounding. I added a blend circuit to it and it honestly did not need it. It still retains quite a bit of your original sound and doesn't alter it that much either.
