My first build. I've modded alot so i decided to stay with a kit. GGG's ITS8 screamer.
Problem is it shorts out with the jacks in the box (no bypass and no effect). Works fine with the jacks out of the box. I looked and looked scratched my head and looked some more.
Can you good folks have a look?

I do believe the jacks are wired correctly.

Are the jacks grounding something out when you plug a cord into them?

  The debugging thread...
Fixed.
no debugging needed.
the out put jack is drilled so close to the edge of the box it will short out if the jack is turned the right (or wrong) way.

I built the same box (ITS8) from GGG.  Noted the same thing when installing the plugs.  The tabs have a chance of hitting the case depending on thier orientation.  I'm going to replace them with some insulated jacks.
