80's RAT Bypass Question

I have an old RAT from the 80's with no LED.

Is this correct in stating that my 80's RAT is True Bypass with a dpdt?   Can I install a 3pdt instead and run an LED of the extra pole?

I thought the 80's RAT's weren't TB and that they started doing the millennium bypass a little later?

The 3pdt mod for LED just sounds to easy... ha! I wanna make sure its true bypass first.

It's absolutely True Bypass - all Rats have always been True Bypass. The only exception is the Brat/Roadkill.
It would be exceedingly easy to add an LED with 3PDT switch.
