I am putting an Ibanez DL5 (Black Plastic SoundTank) into a metal housing and need to replace the foot switch.

The stock switch is a tiny, black momentary affair that has 4 lugs.  A plastic hammer touches it when the pedal is pressed.
This is an example of the stock Switch I want to replace.

I would like to replace it with something like this...

or

The stock switch, while having 4 "poles", looks as if the 2 pairs of "poles" are paired and soldered into the same path.
As if, the replacement switch would/could only need 2 poles to do what the stock switch does with 4.

please advise. I can post pics later if that helps.

Thank you for any help. It is much appreciated.

Both of the switches you mentioned will work, your mentioned "pole" issue is correct as well.
Just solder the two lugs on the new switch to the two different paths and you'll be good.

Cheers,
It's supposed to sound that way.

That is reassuring.  I am going to order some parts now.
THank you very much indeed~!   ;D
