Supreaux Deux is the name of our redesigned and improved version of the Supreaux circuit.  It much more accurately resembles the character of the Supro 16T amp that inspired it.

Check it out: http://runoffgroove.com/sd.html

A PCB layout will be added shortly!

Cool!!!!

i though you guys were not making projects anymore. i´ts a relief you are still alive, coz ROG projects are definetly the best around, i have learn a lot from you guys, your explanations of the circuits are beautiful and simple.
have you considered more modulation projects? phozer is great, and i would love to see more things like that, i´m not asking, just wondering...

you guys are a big inspiration

I have to agree that your projects are the ones that I have the most success with and, more importantly, the most fun playing through.

Many thanks for your time and effort!

  yupp.
Sounds a lot different at "HV".
But I've been using the Supreaux as pre-dirt-boost for distortion enhancement, @9v it works good for that. And at low volume maxes a cool amp-tone distortion, but did seem ill-defined for preamping my already ~loud guitar amp.
[ww: '12vdc' / measures: around 17 and is noisy], Nady 12vdc WW intended for wireless system.
220uf worth of BFC [PS decoupling cap on the DC jack].

Hola Daniel. Yes, a modulation project could appear in the medium term... (let's say within 2008).

One of the best guitar effects sites out there.  I have built quite a few of ROG projects and they never fail to amaze me.  home-wrecker.com also has some cool stuff also.
Some of my favorites from those 2 sites are:
May Queen
Mock Man
NeOctavia
Professor Tweed
Condor
Nurse Quacky
Mr. EQ
Highway 89
I will check out the Supreaux soon.
Thank you runoffgroove

Please note that the Highway 89 is by Doug Hammond and the Neoctavia is by Aharon Colman.  Thank you for your support!

!

this looks really cool.

my brother tim has a 1959 ( montgomery wards ) airline amp, and he is reasonably sure that it is not a valco circuit. i guess airline used numerous suppliers for their tube amps.

I spent some time out in the studio this afternoon after reading your suggestion and did record a clip that is somewhat heavier.

http://runoffgroove.com/sd3.mp3

For the both guitar parts, Tone and Gain were both at maximum, with the Bottom switched on.  The rhythm uses the bridge Tele pup and the lead is with the neck HB.  All the other recording data is the same as the existing Supreaux Deux clips.

I agree, amazing site.   Is it just me or does the Supreaux Deux sound darker and less gainy than the first version ?  I'm wanting a little more bite...

I like it.  Sounds tight and punchy and not too fuzzy.

Well, the old version which has more gain is still online.  The difference in brightness is partially due to the use of the Bulldog Cab Sim, which leaves in a lot of high end content compared to a real cab.  I still like the original circuit, but we wanted to make a version that was more representative of the amp.

Cool, the crunchy rhythm track sounds nice.
With a boost or something kicking up the front end the lead sound should be nice as well.
Should be friendly for boosting since it's pretty warm by itself.

Also, in the last clip the Bottom Switch is ON and the Tone control is not dimed, so you can still achieve a brighter tone.

petemoore

I like the overall sound / rythm arrangements of the clip !
  Thanks B. Tremblay !
