best place/type of wire ?

I've generally felt the same way about salvaged cables.  I have a few left over from probably a decade ago that will get used again, so I am going to split them open and see if there is anything closer to 24 guage... if not, they're going into the trash anyway.

I salvaged some ribbon type cable out of a boss pedal and it was perfect for wiring pots but I only had enough for one build.  I've been trying to find some 3 conductor 24 AWG ribbon and haven't had much luck.  Mouser has some stuff but it's 4 conductor and up and you have to buy a ton. I'd really prefer to have a sample first before I order 100's of feet of the stuff.

Anyone know where to get 22 gauge Pre-bond wire? I really like the 24 gauge from pedal parts plus but prefer 22 gauge...

It was the wire from Pedal parts plus that made me start this thread. The temp on that wire is way too LOW for me. Now, I am decent w the iron, but when I'm in a tight spot and need to get in between wires..and I accidentally hit a wire this stuff burns through super quick and ruins the wire thus needing replaced. I'm gunna try Teflon next (later this week) Smallbear has some great wire I usually use. I just need it quick or I would have bought some there.
