I have a bunch of CA3094at metal can ic's and I need something to make with them.  I dont know what.  Searching this site returns *mostly info on Small Stones.  I dont need to fix or build a Small Stone as I built the Tonepad CA3080 version and it works very well. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

I build stuff everyday.

Have you built a compressor?  The ross/mxr compressor uses that IC

Actually it doesn't.

If you are VERY ambitious, you can use those chips in an attempt to clone the EHX Microsynth. :icon_mrgreen:

If you are somewhat less ambitious, there are a number of DOD pedals that use the 3094 OTA chip.  I think there is a compressor and an autowah in their "Performer" series that use them.

I've always wanted to build a little Smoky/LM380 type amp from one of those. They can dissipate up to 600mW in Class A.

Because they are OTA and the output of the OTA is a current, you can set the bias of the output signal to whatever you want, so using two in parallel, or in a bridge connection, would get you up to 1.2W in class A and the biasing should be easier than normal...

Basically, the CA3094 is the 3080 on steroids...

No problem.  They're cousins.  An easy mistake to make. :icon_biggrin:
