Hey, I couldn't believe when was the last time I contributed with a layout  :icon_mrgreen:...

I've just uploaded a rather compact (11x18 holes) perf layout for the BSIAB. My fellow guitar player in my band just stole it from me, so I need to build a new one to replace it.

It isn't verified but I'll build it soon, should work..............

I think I need to thank once more (never will be enough)  Ed, Mark, Gus, RG, etc........for creating a little monster , now all my musician pals are asking me for custom built boosters and distortions. I just don't have the time.

On the other hand, I shoud complain about all the hours of sleep lost, burnt fingers, frustration at debugging....  it's you to blame  :icon_mrgreen:

When I look back, three years ago I didn't even know what a resistor was. This is the most creative forum I've ever been in. I have to admit I lurk "other" forums once in a while, but I'm just fed up at critizising designs from other builders, whining all the time, and sick of that "yeah, this is just a TS without buffers" .....no creativeness, no positiveness......

Sorry for the short rant  :icon_mrgreen:

You all have a nice summer !!!

ayayay!

My, that's tight.

Not that I'm complaining...

I keep meaning to build one but get distracted.  I gotta do that one...

hey, i compared your layout to the schematic in GGG and found some minor errors(or at least, i think it is!  :D)

-R1 is 1M
-C12 is 0.1uF
-that GND you got from R11, why you have to put a wire there? doesnt it has just  to go to ground like for example between C8 and R7?

im gonna try building it too, thanks for the layout  ;)

Xavier

Thank you all  ;)

I hope to post some more soon.

Drk, thanks for the corrections !!. The GND from R11 is necessary (it's one of the 2 voltage dividers) ..........my layout skills are limited, so sometimes things like this happen, specially when you have done half of the layout already.

I have posted a new one with the corrections

drk

i didnt say it wasnt needed, just the way you presented in the layout says to put an wire, but where would you connect the wire?? it just needs to go to ground, doesnt need a wire  :)

i've just build it, and spend this last 15min playing a bit... this pedal is really good for rock style!! really like it  :)
just got one problem, was that sometimes the sounds kinda had "breaks", i suspect i didnt do the bias right on the last transistor... got try see if i can fix it
anyway, great pedal  ;)
