hi,

I've did a striplayout for a tubescreamer which use a dual AOP.
the schema

and the striplayout:

Do you see mistakes  ?

Fuzzo.

The schematic has 2 mistakes.
The 4k7 and 47n cap need to be connect to pin 2 of the opamp not pin 6. Looks like it's correct on the layout though.
The second stage needs a similar cap and resistor off pin 2, without those it will just act as a buffer and the volume pot won't do anything.

The rest of the layout looks OK, just remember to cut the traces underneath the opamp.
Where is Vr going to? Are you getting the 4.5 volts from part of another circuit?

Renegadrian

Why did you call it "DOUBLE"? And where's the TONE control, where did you find this toneless schematic? Is it going to have the same sound?!
Done an' workin'=Too many to mention - Tube addict!

Ok  thanks, i'll correct the striplyaout and post the new one.

C6 isn't 4.7µF but 47nF of course.

the jumper at B9 is false, i'll correct. It connected like that: D2-r3-C6-ground.

Yes i forgot, thanks.

So i'll add the new elements on my schemo and my striplayout, and post them.

To obtain the 4.5V i make the circuit on the DCjack.

Double= just for the two AOP used.
No tone control, it's not for a overdrive pedal. ;D
I think the sound will be different, cause the circuit hasn't the tone control and the cap haven't the same values.

The input wire on the layout needs to be moved up one strip.

It's done

Sans connection à l'interrupteur/LED et tout le tralala ?

You are going to post some voltages for debuging ?
À plus.

fuzzo

1: 4.07
2: 4,61V
3: 1,81 V
4: 0v (ground)
5:  6,98V
6: 8,69V
7: 7,93V
8: 9,5V

V+:9,5V   Vr:4,68V

Something is wrong around pins 5 - 7 they should have similar voltages to pins 1 - 3. Your layout looks correct so check for solder bridges or miswired components around those pins.

i think too, but i don't see . I'll try tomorrow.

The voltage of aop (the two in ("e-" and "e+") and the "out") must have 4.5V (Vr) no ?

But don't seem to have any signal goin out neither...

???

Did you find something wrong ?
Wow there is a storm here.

IT WORKS!!!!!!!
It was because of the dead AOP, I changed it and the sound is here!!
So the layout is correct, someone can add it on "layout gallery".

the volume doesn't work like I want, even if it's at min it lets pass sound (and attenuate the overdrive). I'll put a volume like "normal circuit".

How i can add more distortion ?

I use a 500KA for the drive control. Put a 1M ?

EDIT: I found a stuff to add distortion, I put 2 diodes with a 1M resistor in the place of the volume pot. It works like a good overdrive. The sound is cool (I tested in my Mg10, It's my amp test ::) )The volume pot is wired like a standart volume pot. But the sound is reduced when those 2 diodes is here, I must increase the volume. The sound is better for me like that.

the new layout :

Hé, Fuzzo
you can create your own folder in the gallery (Ex: Fuzzo)
I think the password is in this topic:

Félicitations !

I'll try to see what is not working on my breadboard later.
