suggestion for a transformer for multiFX box

Anyone could suggest me for a suitable transformer for my multi-effect-box ?

The box will have 10 effects where two of them will need -9V (rangemaster, FF), seven will need +9V and the Neovibe will need 20V-24V + two additional 9V outs for external effects. Is there a such transformer available ? The smaller the better to fit in the enclosedure). Would a 1000mA transformer handle all of these circuits ?

Thank You,
Matti T.

As long as the total current draw is less than the 1000ma rating on the Tranny, yes.
  If not, then, no.
A Spyder and a MAX1044 and relevant regulators could be configured to do that, not sure about ~20v regulators,

15v regulator is the largest I could find.
Maybe...regulate to say 12v before the MAX1044 and be able to get 22v ? [that's a question mark, seems like it'd work fine though...
The rest of the PS needs [all the +9 and -9v supplies], running a couple/few circuits from one tap in order to power all 10 though.
A One Spot Power Adapter [9.4v @ 1700ma]...possible option to start with, but wouldn't break ground loops.

I have one of them...just sitting now. I want to sell it if your interested.

Would this handle the Neovibe also ? If so, I'm very interested !

I have saved a 220V/2x15V 15VA toroid. Any chance to go with this one ?

Hey Kurt, if Mat doesn't want it, I'll be interested in taking it.
100mm across?  Wow... that's pretty big though for a power supply... well, I guess 300 mA are worth it hehe.
Let me know

I think the Neovibe needs more than 11V at 300mA (Im not sure though).

You could use the 9V 2A and add a charge pump though and that would work for sure.

What's the current rating of the transformer you got?

It says 15VA on it.

Would it be possible to get -9V, +9V and 18V all from this 2x18V 2VA transformer (http://www.yeint.fi/index.php?main=272&productCat=2333&productID=1999 ) ? The price is temptating for sure  :icon_biggrin:

  check out the bottom item.
and see RG's Spyder at GEO [thanks RG !]
Best 15 buxx I ever spent on guitar gear...I used a computer PS box for the enclosure...and a couple handfuls of other parts are needed.

I think the Weber models are only 120V. I have limited space on the box soI might buy one 220V/18V and two 220V/9V pcb-mountable transformers (less than 6 euros of the three) and put filteration after them like on the Spyder..hmm..

Spyder article is very good (like everything at GEO  :icon_biggrin:)

Ok, I'll use the 2 x 15V toroid (I like of the idea of using parts that otherwise would go to trash bin).

I just noticed that Neovibe takes 15V AC and has it's own filter section. I was thinking of putting the 15V secondary straight from the transformer secondary to Neovibe board and parallel to the Neovibe power feed I'll put the secondary to bridge rectifier then to filtercab (to ground) and from there to the 9V regulator to feed the 7 units. The other 15V secondary I'll regulate to 9V (maybe with the Spyder deluxe regulator) and use it as -9V.

My (noob) question is that do I just reverse the +9V and ground wires to get -9V feed  :icon_redface:

Thanks,
