I need something similar to an A/B switch, but not really.

Hi, I recently bought a Kaoss pad and like having my guitar run through it for some songs (with the audio going back to the amp via a 1/4 inch jack), and using it for it's more standard purposes in other songs (with the audio going back to the PA through RCA jacks).  The thing is that I don't ever want both on at the same time, and I was hoping to build a switch that could switch one off while switching the other on (and to make it even more complicated the RCA would have to remain in stereo as well...).

It'd make my life soooo much easier if it was just one switch going between the two rather than me having to go around plugging and unplugging stuff.

Anyone know of any layouts for anything like this?  Or have any ideas for how to modify another design to get this to work?  Keep in mind that I'm a bit of a noob, so it may need some dumbing down.

Thanks SOOO much!

Take a 3PDT switch.

Wire one set of lugs to one RCA jack, input jack to middle lug, output jack to top lug, bottom lug unused
Same for the other RCA jack.
1/4" input goes to the third set, input to middle, output to bottom lug, top unused.

This way, when RCA is passed to output the 1/4" is disconnected and vice versa
