i have an old mxr distortion+ with no LED and i want to put one in. problem is it has a SPDT stomp switch and the local radio shack doesnt have any stomp switches. could i wire it up like this?

That won't work. This way, the signal would have to go through both the LED and the resistor, and that's not what you want. Either buy yourself a 3PDT switch or leave the unit as is for original mojo (and $$$) value.

You could use Millenium bypass, find it here: http://www.geofex.com/

and it would be a tight fit. i'd keep the original original and make a new even more better one.

you'll need at least a dpdt, but better if you get your hands on a 3pdt  :)
