right angle connections for eagle cad schematic

I'm doing my first layout in Eagle and don't know to get right angle net connections (or bends at all in the connections) directly between 2 components. I had been dragging from component 1's pad, left clicking at where I wanted the intersection to be and then dragging to component 2 to make the right angle. Eventually I realized this was not connecting the components but making 2 floating wires. Saw a brief mention in an instructable tutorial online saying you control the angle of the bends in your connections by right clicking, but when I either right click the line that's drawn or the button for the net tool I don't get anything like that. The only way I'm able to link components directly is by dragging a net line directly between them and it draws a straight line with no bends. Thanks.

Never mind - got it figured out.
