I thought it was a 'Judy Jetson B&W' psychadelic poster.

I think a small part of my brain just melted.

Cool layout! It's funny how looking at (and trying to trace) this flowing layout is different
then withthe straight/right angle layouts we're so used to.
Refreshing actually.

For the Astrotone you should make the pads look like this:

"I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you."

Thats what is making them so fun - the "non-linearity"... :)

This layout requires a DPST switch and doesn't support an LED.

Hmmm....

Common pedal wiring practices we've followed around here for at least the last 8-9yrs dictate how to wire a bypass switch. That is not determined by or limited by the pcb layout unless it is purposely included on the layout (which I have not seen very much of). Switch wiring is external to the circuit, unless noted otherwise. Might help to look at the schematic to see where to wire the output (probably the volume control).

Check the wiki/stickie for further info on switch wiring.

where are you getting that ?

Any DPDT or 3PDT will work fine.

Theres no "led resistor" on board, but just wire it offboard....

Lug-2 of the volume pot is your output...input goes where its marked and immediately goes into a gain pot, which is wired to the board....

exactly.

just because the switch isnt wired directly to the board downt mean you can't use any switch you desire...heck, in the old days (60s / ealry 70's) pretty much NO ONE wired the switch to the board.

they have info there...

Volume-2 goes to the switch, as does the trace marked "input"

Thanks Andy, I'd like to build this one!! Is there a higher resolution version available of this pnp transfer available to avoid the jagged edges I'm getting while printing out? Thanks again.

Andy,

You've been quite busy the past few days, eh?

These layouts are really cool, they remind me of the early 70's when my buddies and I would sit around smoking pot, listening to Uriah Heep, and staring for hours at black light posters, trying to understand the deeper meaning of the universe!

You should decorate some enclosures with similar patterns.

These layouts are easier and quicker to etch, too. Less to remove from the board.

is this the same as the sam ash, or are there some different values in there somewhere?
