I'm lookin for a nice sounding fuzz to build.  I know it's subjective, but from the layouts Dragonfly is offering, which one is your favourite? orpheum, fuzz face, astrotone...etc.
I'm placing an order regardless, just don't know which one.

will nelson sell a pcb of just the preamp channel for his 6 watt stereo amp ???
freedom is the freedom to say 2+2=4

I'd go with the fuzz face as it's a classic and a good place to start for a "fuzz".

I can make any of nelson's boards. Send me a link to what you want and I'll get you a price.

John,

I'll take one of Andy Dragonfly's Fuzz Face boards - from the layout posted a page or so back; timely since I just scored some AC128s from Orman.  Please PM me your Paypal address.

Hip project, guys.

I'm assembling the board now and noticed the both diodes are pointing in the same direction, they should be opposite, no ?

Good catch, yes they should be going in different directions.
Let us know what you think of the circuit when you finish it.

John's boards just arrived and they look great. I'm digging the blue PCB -- might have to work an illuminated window into the builds so I can show 'em off. He etched a pair of Vanishing Point boards and a wah and trem companion board for me as well a Gruff Gimp. There's nothing quite a luxurious as building on a pre-etched board. It's like baking a cake but without having to do all the messy cleanup -- you just get to slide it in the oven and eat it 20 minutes later. :)

Christian,

Go to Tone Frenzy, you can find tons of clips of some dude shredding up a storm through lots of vintage effects.

Got my FF board today, John - thanks for the fantastic work - the lands that Andy designed look so hip - nice work, Andy - I almost hate to build it and splotch it up with solder... very hip shiny Cu against the blue board - beautiful work you two.  Now... if I can just find the time to build it!
