...paint an EXTREMELY convincing "faux granite" finish on your pedals ? I was messing around tonight and figured out a great way to do it, and I'm completely SHOCKED at how real it looks....the pictures below don't even begin to do it justice.

If enough people are interested I might write up another tutorial. If not, that's cool too - saves me work ! :D

I took these photos in a couple different "lights" so you can see how real the granite looks.

Those look great! What's the level of difficulty compared to the swirls?

So easy a caveman could do it.  :)

^ Magnus, I love your name.  :)

Also, the faux granite finishes somehow add a lot of class to the pedal.  One could make an entire pedalboard of them, and
the board would look like it weighed a tonne.

looks like a tampering technique. Looks like you did some earstick-poking.

You guys are going to kill me, but I can't help it...   :icon_mrgreen:
Andy, bring it on!  That looks like the perfect finish for a...  Small Stone.   :icon_rolleyes: :icon_twisted: :icon_wink:

I'm not crazy about the color but I'm always up for learning about the technique.
That 3rd photo looks best to me.
Thanks Andy!

Or maybe a caveman's The Brick, by Doug Hammond...

Percolate it, pall, and congrats for the cool idea!
Pagan and happy!

As somebody who once worked for a countertop manufacturing business ... these look pretty darn accurate.
