Fuzz Probe Power Plate Question

Is there a trick to the power plate for _vex pedals? Is it just a 9v battery connector for a power supply or is there a ac/dc conversion going on? Thanks

9V adapter connection with a hole for the adapter drilled in it so it hangs out. There might have been a diode protection on the one I had. I can't recall now. It was stupid simple though.

I'm all for spending the money if I have it, but thought I could just build it myself.  I have an extra bottom plate(don't ask...it's a long story ) and thought it would be simple.
Is it 9v dc or 9v ac power?

Mine has a rev polarity diode and a tiny 100uf cap in a little piece of shrink tubing.

I believe somewhere Zach said there is a protection diode, a 100 ohm resistor in series, and a 100uF cap on the end for decoupling.
