Ok, I figured the topic title would catch a few eyes.
What I am looking for is rubber material, the kind that you sometimes find on store bought pedals.
You know the kind, roughly 1/8 - 1/4 inch thick and covers the entire bottom of the pedal.

I know I could Google and find it, but being on dialup I thought I would ask here in case someone already has a source with good/decent prices without taking several hours researching. I looked through the Mouser catalog with no luck.

And no, I don't want to use those little round/square pads.

Thanks

Gus

If you are in the USA check the plumbing dept at a Home Depot.   I have found a small sheet of red gasket material there that might work.  Also look for the floor mat stuff that is sold for home shops, workout rooms to cushion your feet when standing all day

Damn, I looked at home depot, but didn't check out the plumbing section.

Thanks

You have better chance where they sell mechanical parts for industrial applications...

If all else fails, maybe you can use mouse pads?

I found the perfect stuff in the crafts section at Walmart.  It's black neoprene that's perfect for the bottom of pedals.  Very inexpensive, too.

+1 on Mousepad.  I found a couple of cheap (price and quality), removed the top picture.  Perfect because it was fairly thin and adhered well.

Great idea using the red gasket material.  I've done that as well.
Need help with woodworking?  Just ask.

Hobby stores like Hobby Lobby sell sticky back foam for under $1 per sheet. It isn't as durable as the rubber on say, a crybaby foot pad, but it's reasonably tough still. And cheap. Did I mention that it was cheap ?
