Greetings venerable forumites!

This is an awsome site - Thanks Aron! I've been lurking here for years and found it a great resource - so much time wasted reading this when I should have been working . . .
Anyhow, I've been messing with various electrical and electronic stuff for as long as I can remember and decided to finally get serious about making pedals.
I tend to approach things in an methodical fashion (did someone say anal . . .?) so I thought the first thing I should do is build a breadboard.
I am so happy with the result I thought I would share it with the world.

Inspired by the 'Beavis Board' I set about building mine. Careful not to infringe Dano's intellectual property, however, mine doesn't use a Hunk o' WoodTM - rather a Slab o' MDFTM  ;D

I did however use the breakout box idea - mine has a bypass switch, mono input jack, stereo output jack and a generic DPDT switch. All ins and outs (including the 6 connectors on the DPDT) are brought out to a cheapo strip connector. I used a battery box rather than a DC power jack - this may change in the future.
I have used three breadboards - two of which I bought from eBay for a couple of pounds each and one of which I already had (the blue one in the picture). The blue one was supplied with a vertical panel for pots, additional switches, etc. - that's really why I used it.
I have left some space on the board for additional items such as test lead sockets, speaker connections or a test rig like R.G.'s setup for gain-selecting FF transistors.

All told, this has cost me about £10 to build (did I mention I was a cheapskate?) and I am looking forward to trying out some of the many circuits presented here.

Here are some photos if anyone's interested . . .

The whole thing . . .

Thanks Auke - I appreciate that. Just need to start using it now . . . :icon_lol:

Welcome to the board!

Breadboards are so cool when setting them up properly, like you have. It just makes it much more easier. Great job!

Wow, nice!

One of these days I've got to do that. Right now I have 2 breadboards with rats nests on them...
