hello.  i've been looking around at these chips that can supposedly sequence switch.  here's what i need: an ic that switch sequences making it possible to sequence resistor values (or anything else your heart desires for that matter.)  imagine turning a rotary switch around and around automatically.  that's what i'm going for...

i've come here looking for suggestions on a chip to look into, and for pointers on possible utilization of said chip.

any ideas?

ps- Thanks!  it's good to be back...

This is a good place to start: http://www.geocities.com/thetonegod/switches/switches.html

You would be looking at CMOS chips, 4017, 4022, 4066.
