Any suggestions as to how to socket diodes?

Thanks.

The way I test how different pairs of diodes sound in a circuit is by having a piece of vero with about 6 different pairs and a rotary selector switch to choose between them. I just solder two wires to the board that come off this contraption and can flick between them.

You could also use strip sockets - break off 2 individual ones - I use these to socket transistors:

I like the strip sockets too. I usually cut off a strip of four, pop out the two middle terminals, save and use those for test points, then solder in the 4 strip to use for diodes or resistors.

nice move! are those the smallbear socket strips that you can pop out the terminals?

The small bear sockets are exactly the same as the ones I linked to at Mouser.

The ones i use i get at a small shop in Toronto but i can't imagine there being much difference between these and those offered by Mouser/Small Bear. The round transistor socket did come from Small Bear, can't find those around here.

Take care,
