Hi all. I want to try modding my crybaby wah.
Instructions say to remove the buffer, but if I remove does that mean I might not be able to use some fuzz boxes after the wah?

Also, to include an LED, youre taking power from right after the dc jack, which works, but not with a battery, only with wall power. Is that normal? Can you have an LED status with battery???

Sorry for being such a noob, I did some searching but couldnt find these answers.

The best step by step tutorial I have seen is on this guys three videos. Look them over and you should be ready to mod away.

WATCH ALL THREE!!!

He shows you step by step how to make it true bypass, add an LED, change the inductor, and a few other mods.

Good Luck. This will probably be my next mod project I hope!

Personally, I think it's better to keep the input buffer and not do a true bypass on the newer wah pedals (GCB-95 and similar)

Why do you prefer not to have true bypass on a wah like the GCB-95?

Here is where you want to go for Wah moding info.

This is one of our members sites.
I've moded two pedals with the info found at Paul's site.

Because it helps with problems that people typically have with Fuzz Face type pedals and stuff like that.
