Hey guys.

I have 2 working circuits that I am popping into one box.  A Green Ringer and Blue Clipper.
I have only used battery power thus far on the 6 or so builds I have finished and I want to do both battery and as well as outboard power for this pedal.

I saw this layout schematic for the wiring of 2 in 1 on GGG, so I'm assuming it was correct... but I was confused as it seems like the inputs and outputs of the grounds are heading to completely different spots on the switches than I am used to wiring them... I was trying to figure out how it made sense and couldn't make sense of *why*

Is there a different way of doing it, or is this *the* way

The circuits are done, I just want to make sure before I start laying the box out and drilling.

Do you mean this layout? http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/pdf/two_in_one_wiring.pdf

That uses the true bypass method where the input of the effect is grounded when it's bypassed. This can be useful for high gain circuits because they can sometime oscillate when bypassed causing noise to leak into your signal.

You can wire the switches how you normally do if you want it will work fine using any true bypass wiring.

ok cool.
So all I have to do is run the where the output would usually come off of switch #1 and run it to the input of switch #2 and just connect as normal?

Will I have to do anything for the power?  Or can I just run a jumper from board to board for the 9v?

Yeah that's it.

You can either do it like in the GGG diagram or just jumper from board to board for the power and ground wires, it doesn't really matter.
