Big Muff too clean

 Hey guys this is my first post.I've been reading for a while and there's a lot of cool,knowledgeable people here so howdy! Here's my problem.I just built a Russian Big Muff clone from GGG and everything seems to work as it should(tone,volume,sustain pots all do as they should) but there is not much distortion.I didn't do any mods and I used 2n5089's for the trannies.I checked all solder joints and traces and all looks good.

Just to clarify,it sounds more like a boost or overdrive than distortion or fuzz.

Ok I checked the voltages at the pins of the trannies and I'm not getting anything at Q1.I swapped a few out and the same thing so it has to be another component.The voltages on the other trannies look fine though.I guess back to the bench.

I got it! There was a cut in a trace near Q1 that was hard to see but I fixed it and it works great now.Thanks  for the tip foxfire!
