Has anyone used a Hammond 1590M instead of a 1590B? They are about $5 cheaper at Mouser, and are close to the same size. (4.4" x 2.4" x 1.2" instead of 4.39" x 2.34" x 1.06") I'm planning to build a small Fuzz Face type distortion, so I don't need a large box. I'm just wondering if there is some downside I'm not seeing.

Thanks!

I think the difference is that the 1590M has circuit board RIBS in it. The 1590B is smooth on the inside walls. Look at this site:

In the search cue, type in 1590
