IS there a difference? I've been wondering about this for a long time, but never got to go ask about it.  ;)

So, any differences except the price? I know gears can be fit onto regular pots, but any internally mechanical differences?

The real difference is there build for heavy duty use, its also possible that on some the resistance taper is optimised for the range. I think the van halen model  wah pedal is said to have the most used section of the pot worn as the makers claim when they took vh's original pedal apart and found the pot to be worn (so the copied the worn part) but thats marketing bo*****s to be honest.
