Momentary switch wiring

So I need three spst momentary, normally open switches. I'm going to place an order from ppp, but they don't have them. Small bear has them, but they are more then ppp's dpdt momentary switches, which is pretty crazy.

So, can I wire a DPDT momentary to act like a spst normally open switch? I thought about it, and came up with this. Only using one side of the switch, lugs 1, 2, and 3. Lug 2 would be like one lug on the spst switch, then the lug that the dpdt switch is usually on will be left unsoldered, and the lug that the switchs flips to will be wired up like the other lug of the spst.

Does that makes sense?

Is this going to cause trouble? I'm using them in a wicked switch switching set up, if that makes any difference.

Thanks!

Yeah that will work fine.

I never bother buying SPST switches I just use SPDT or DPDT because like you've said you can wire then up like SPST normally closed or normally open depending on which lugs you use.

Yeah, but if you're ordering from Small Bear anyway, these are pretty nice and they're a little cheaper than the PPP momentary DTDT:

Those would be good, but I'm not ordering from smallbear, I'm going to order from PPP as I need a drilled enclosure

Thanks though!
