  Cool amp !
Nearby YT video link shows a Danelectro 8 speaker 'suitcase' combo tube amp...pretty cool too !

DIY Harpist very cool!  I love blues harp and looks like this guy is having a lot of fun w/ his!

I'm more impressed by the tube radio he used as the chassis. The whole time I was thinking stringed harp, not blues harp. But now I'm curious how a stringed harp would sound through a Prof. Tweed.  :P

Nice! The LM1875 chip is also in my 15 W Vox Brian May Special amp. Great little amp for noodling at home.

Hey guys just wanted to say thanks for the kind comments on my amp (that's my vid you linked up to there)! I've gotten lots of great info from this forum and from the the folks over as the SSguitar forum that helped me build that sucker... And just to let you know, I've got a lot more coming. I just finished my breadboard design for a phrase sample/looper (similar to the Tone God's "Payback" but with a different, more common ISD chip, discreet transistor output circuit, and old-fashioned, non-IC based switching). I've got another amp in the works, this time with a Hitachi  power amp chip, and a NEW, original preamp design (still on the drawing board at the moment), and possible a built in "so-simple compressor". And I'm also working on a really simple, low parts count, cheap spring reverb design using piezo transducers to both drive the spring and pick up the reverbed signal. I'll continue to post vids at my You Tube channel as I get things completed!

Thanks for all the support!

Well, thank you for posting the qkits link. Their chip amp kits are dirt cheap and I think I'm going to use one to build a bass amp for my son. :icon_wink:

Your quite welcome! Yeah, Q-kits has great prices and the two kits I bought from them (lm1875, and the 18-watt hitachi chip kit) are of extremely high quality for the money. Not botique components, but definately not cheap, end-of-the-line either. They are easy to build and sound great! They have a lot to choose from, but I wouldn't think that ALL of them are going to be of the same quality. In fact it took me quite a while to "take the plunge" and purchase 'em, but I'm gald I did. Good luck on your amp project, I'm sure your son will really enjoy it!

Oh, I just had the thought I should post a link to my build description I posted over at the SS guitar amps forum Following this link http://www.ssguitar.com/index.php?topic=933.msg5921#msg5921 will take you there. There is text description of the build as well as a schematic of the power supply and the preamp section, but not of the power amp since it is a kit. Following this link http://www.ssguitar.com/index.php?topic=362.msg5920#msg5920 will show you some close up photos of the circuits as well as some more shots of the chassis, for those that are interested...
