Hey All,

I am wondering about building a basic midi switcher somewhat like this.. http://www.voodoolab.com/gcx.htm and http://www.voodoolab.com/gcontrolpro.htm

Lets start with this. I have build a bunch of boosters, bmp, delays. I just have never used Midi.
I want to do something basic... NO loops, I dont want a number segment like on the floor pad on the link above.
Pretty much a rack unit to plug my effects into, 15-20, Guitar in and out. And then just use the floor board to turn on and off the loops the effects are plugged into.

Is this something easy to build? I'm trying to figure what is cheaper, and if this is easy...it would be rewarding.

Thanks

Matt

see "project crossbar" in the DSP section of this forum.  Do a search, there's tons of stuff.  There's the jimkim.de site, there's ucapps.de.
And there are only a couple people I know of who ever did something like this themselves and completed it... and they're programmers or have some sort of Engineering degree.  So, good luck!
