I came across these knobs for $.99 at Frys Electronics. I really like them. What you all think?  Esp for the price. I bought all they had. 12 of them.

Those are the Philmore #3010 knobs.
Very close to the "zvex knob".

I really liked them since they have so much less skirt around the bottom. There is still just a little though.

The Canadian Radio Shack - The Source, by Circuit City (worst name...ever) -is clearing out a lot of their component stock in a rather bizarre unfathomable way.  One of the items they have dropped the price on are the small Boss-style fluted knobs with the silver top and white line.  They have been showing up at every store in my region for 4/$0.96.  (Sorry, Steve  :icon_redface: ).

I've seen those at Fry's too, but at mine they are $1.99 a piece, I think  :icon_evil:

Speaking of control knobs....

how many of you guys get press-on knobs? I started getting those split-shaft, PCB-mount pots from Futurlec--I really like them, and I'm kind of excited about being able to use press-on knobs instead of those using set screws.

My question is--are all the splines the same?

Also--do you have a source (ebay or otherwise) to just get different types of control knobs? I don't really want to put in a small bear order just for knobs, but that's the only place I can find decent ones...the shipping just kills me though unless I put in a large order (which I usually do).

I've buy a bunch of them and a lot of other stuff (dpdt/spst switch) are at 0.96$...at that price they should called themself ''The Ground'' instead.

I know, but the pedal i built does not boost...it just increases volume!

There's links to some suppliers of the Philmore knobs in this thread.
