First PCB layout attempt... anyone care to verify or comment?

My first attempt at a PCB layout!
It's for the Brian May Treble Booster.  I snagged the schematic and layout from Dano at Beavisaudio.com out of the breadboard projects.
It's straight up from his layout.
comments, suggestions? anything?  lemme know
Here's the schematic/breadboard from Dano.

Here's the layout:

Thanks!

The layout isn't too bad, but rather than answer in detail it's easier to suggest buying and reading RGs PCB layout book.

You could compress it a fair bit, making it a lot smaller. I've never read R.G's book I've just taught myself from trial and error but I plan on buying a copy anyways as I'm sure there's tons I could learn.

Yeah.

I knew it was pretty big for the components, but I was more concerned if anyone caught any errors in it  :icon_razz:
I'll probably refine it tomorrow when I have a few minutes to maybe make it a tad smaller.

Hi Dave,

If you orient all your components  North/South in two rows (rather then some N/S and some laying East/West) you can easily shrink this circuit to fit a piece of board less then 1"x1".

This article has helpful info on PCB layout. http://www.alternatezone.com/electronics/files/PCBDesignTutorialRevA.pdf

Have fun!

Thanks for the article, that definitely helps.
I'm definitely realizing that the hard part isn't figuring out what connects where, but just how to connect it in the smallest space  ;D
That's the game.
The good news is, I made it and it worked, so I was pretty psyched.  It was cool to (almost) start from scratch.
I've basically just started to try to do some smaller circuit layouts in the free time to get practice.

Thanks again.
