would it be atrocious to stack two PCBs full of power supplies one on top of the other, using like 2" plastic spacers, and covering the bottom of the  "top bunk" PCB with like some kind of non-conductive foam tape or something to prevent shorts?

I just figured out how much little space i have left in my board and this seemed like a reasonable idea. 6 PSUs per board, stacked 2 high.

Keep in mind the board will have input/output fans...

as always, "sure", "this is horrible, this idea" (Samir-office space) or "your an idiot" 's are always welcome

No problem, but why use insulation if you are mounting them on standoffs?

Then you are indeed safe. If the parts ain't touching nothing's going to jump at these voltages and frequencies.

Do whatever is going to give you confidence that it's all solid.
