Can someone explain how this switch works?

it is out of a memory man, the switch is on the bottom right. this unit is not mine, but i have a circuit board i am trying to bring back to life.
3 terminal switch, 2 terminals on one end, 1 on the other. it appears one terminal is soldered to the output and the other two go the board. i guess i was just wondering the basic function of the switch, not so much within this circuit.

i think the "center" pin is one of those two close together

yeah i think the "center" pin is the top left terminal and it switches between the purple and bottom white wire??? just trying to verify. thanks for your response.
