Hi, Very interesting article, have you tried this yourself and if so what were the results, I am sick of poor results with ferric chloride so am looking for a way that might give beter consistency.
I know ferric is fine with all the right equipment but i don't have an etch tank.

The bottom section of the link listed some brother printers that don't make good transfers. 

I have a 2040 and I noticed that the toner they use is fragile.  The Cu x-fer flakes easily and even on darker settings tends to leave light spots in the traces.  Traces look good on paper but the Cu x-fer always needs to be touched up w/ a sharpie.
