Breadboarded it. Just to check it out before I build it fo real. And the Grit-switch doesn't seem to do anything. No difference in sound... Help? :)

My only difference is that I don't have put in the switch, but instead I have a wire between C4 and input 7 that I plug/unplug while I have it on the breadboard, but I can't see how that can do any difference.

Can't seem to be able to edit the post? Well... New day, and fresh ears tells me that it does something, but not as much as expectet. Oh, well.

Try adding a cap (4.7mF or so) in parallel with the gain pot for a nice gritty boost.

Which LM386 are you using?  N1, N2, N3, N4?

It doesn't say.

And a gritboost isn't what I'm after. I would just like to make it less gritty when the gritswitch is off.

But thanks anyways :)

less gritty put a switch on the gain pot between 1 and 8 that will clean up the signal also try running it on 12 volts for more headroom
