crappy power supply ruined my day!!

ARGH!  All i have to say is, check your power supply with a volt meter when you buy it, mine was labeled center +, plugged in my twincaster and HUUUUUM  SSSSSSSSS  and smoke came out of the regulator    here, it's center -, the label on the wall wart was wrong!  Now i have to convince them to give me my money back and give me a new regulator.  ARGH!

The local surplus I buy my adapters from has a huge bin of all the same 12V + PSU. $4 each not bad.

Every single one says centre +. When I bought my first one I checked it to make sure.......it was centre negative  .

I now have about 4 of those adapters all with the leads reversed to give it centre +.

Cant imagine how many people have smoked up there devices they plugged them into.
