how do you remove the rack (i think that's what it's called) of a wah to replace it with a different one, it's the part attached to the treadle part of the wah by a bar and that goes up and down to rotate the gear. I can't seem to push out the bar, and fear that if I do I will render it so that I cannot attach a different rack. The reason I ask is because I bought a different gear (dunlop standard) and it fits the dunlop rack better than the rack already on this wah. please help me, thanks!

The bar/pin holding it in place is expanded by inserting a cone or something into it's sides so it will hold everything in place - this means it's really quite stuck. It can be very difficult to pry these out, same as with the gear on the pot.
You could try and slighltly crimp it at its edges with a small pair of plyers. There's something on the net on replacing wah gears but I can't find it readily. The same principles apply.
It *is* very difficult to keep that little pinclamp for further use....
Good luck!

exactly the kind of measured response i wanted, thank you. though, lol, not exactly what I wanted to hear, but oh well I guess I'll just leave it. I actually tried to do what you suggested before posting this, but to no avail. So, I'll live with it not being/feeling perfectly smooth, seriously with the dunlops together, like on a vox wah or prob a crybaby (i dont have one) it's like butter. Here it has a little more rigid feel.
