"They are great to just quickly stick into the breadboard but I am not using them in actual pedals.

I am totally with Doug, spend the extra 75cents - $1 and get a quality product that will stand the test of time."

I do the same.  I'm using the futurlec pots for breadboarding, so that I always have a few values on hand but don't feel like I'm wasting a 'good' pot.

And I'm sticking to standard alpha's not as much for the perceived durability issues, but more so because the knobs for those futurlec pots are hideous!   ;D
Breadboard it!

Found another dead Futurlec in the stash while breadboarding today. Those pots are easily the most terrible pots I have every come across.

1 in every 5 is bad.

That's funny because I have never found a bad one in the 100 or so that I've used.
Try a little tenderness.

Just curious, what are you considering "dead"?  not accurate?  or just DOA?
Completed Builds: A lot...

Dead as in....
Circuit is working with regular Alpha pot from Small Bear.

Stick in a PCB mount Alpha pot from Futurlec. Same taper and value.......No sound.

also you can't beat 1 cent resistors, 5 cent caps and anything your heart desires pretty much for the best prices out there.  Only problem I have is with their transistors.  At 45 cents a pop, I can get them cheaper elsewhere. As Mark was saying.   When I am in Toronto, as I am this weekend, I go to Honson and get the deal of a lifetime!

Something weird going on in my previous posst.  I originally said that I agree with Mark Hammer on the Toronto thing.  honson has the best price  around.  I am there this weekend.    70 cent pots for me

I havent been to Honson in a while...they still got 3PDT stompers?

No 3PDT's.  I will ask them when I am there tomorrow morning though.  Did't see any the last time around though.

Name of the thread was actually.... well.... hm. Where do you buy your pot...s.   "S" added on... right. ok.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I finally got around to ordering those switches. I also bought a big pile of jacks, 100 LED's, and a 1/4" plug.

I am ecstatic about the 3pdt switches. I got the 1/4" mount on-(none)-on ones. They all work (and honestly, at 74 cents I would not have been disappointed if one or two were malfunctioning). All the lugs are sealed at the base, like the $4 switches are. They feel good, look good, and just make me happy inside. Highly recommended. MPJA will continue to have my business. As far as durability goes... we will see. But these switches look and feel just as well made as the expensive ones.

The jacks are definitely good for the price. They work just as well as anything else... I can't see why I wold need more expensive ones, unless I needed enclosed ones...

The 1/4" plug is great too. Came with a little plastic sleeve that saved me the trip to radio shack for the heat shrink tubing that I forgot about.

I haven't been able to test ALL 100 LED's, but I tested a handful and they all worked. Now, at $2 for 100, I don't know how long they will last, but that remains to be seen. They could go on working just fine... By the way, LED's can burn out can't they? I feel like I know that but...

All in all, an excellent experience. Fast shipping, communication was good, tracking # provided, etc etc. And, it was insanely cheap.
