Like the one's Dano uses on his webpage for wiring diagrams...

did a search and found layout software, but not the actuall bmp, gif, etc.

....things like the potentiometer image, enclosure image, toggle switch image, etc?

Trying to make some cleaner looking documents rather than draw from scratch.

thanks a billion!

Dano uses MS Visio. There's a an electrical engineering template in Visio. Here are some open source alternatives: http://www.osalt.com/visio

Edit: added a link to the conversation where I asked him pretty much the same question. :)

I use Inkscape (free vector drawing package) and am gradually building up a library of components, bot the pretty arty style ones and wire frame outlines.  I can post if you are interested.

ralley: I'm definitely interested. I use inkscape for drawing scale layouts of amps and any general vector stuff. Still a little buggy on a mac, but great value for money  ;)

This might have been addressed before, but maybe we can start a gallery or ongoing thread where we all contribute out graphics as to build up a user-submitted resource. I'd lover to see what anyone has...i have some nice photoshop drawings that could easily be adapted to vectors or image files.

Visio really does rule for everything stompbox-related. Only problem is it from MSFT, proprietary, and not free (unless you steal it).

Thanks for the tip on Inkscape, I just downloaded it and will play around to see if it can do all the things I've come to expect from Visio.

Okay guys I've uploaded the Inkscape file I have at: http://www.savefile.com/files/1987209.

Please feel free to add to this or modify and re-upload.  Eventually I 'd like to add it to the Inkscape repository.

Cheers, Rob.
