Power jack placement

Would there be any issues if my power jack is near the circuit board? The circuit board will be near the top of the box, and since the box is deep enough, I can fit the power jack up there too.

I would like it up there rather than down on the side. I'm just concerned about extra noise or some kind of interference.

thanks

The power jack isn't anything more than a coupler. If you had a transformer right near the board that can induce noise but the dc jack shouldn't be any issue. If it was, I dont think boss, ibanez and countless other companies would put them there.

Thanks. Just wanted to be sure before I drilled.

DC has to get to the circuit, it's probably steady DC.
AC tries harder to find ways around the usual noise rejection methods.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.
