Looking for something that is chunky muff-like distortion but fuzzy.  This is strat into a clean amp.  Make some recommendations.  I'm not looking for chugga chugga but I was the spectrum to be closer to distortion than fuzz.  Think it noon is right in the middle of distortion and fuzz, then I want something around 10:00 on the distortion side...

what you're describing sounds pretty close to dragonfly's montezuma

Looks good.  I'll try that this weekend.  I like Dragonfly stuff.

What about the colorsound one knob fuzz?  How does it sound?

  that;s a Fuzzface isn't it ?
Sounds fine the 1 knob, as long as that tweek is what you want. Ge's?
To get there, it's possible that BBing or otherwise experimenting with Axis Face might be a good way to start into FF's.
You don't really need that other knob, as long as your FF and guitar are tweeked so the gain is set at the guitar volume, for finding the tweeks the knob comes in real handy.

My Rat works pretty much that way, but i use humbuckers
